What the test measures:
This test detects the presence of IgM and IgG antibodies to the SARS CoV-2 virus.
What the results mean:
When you contract COVID-19 your immune system begins producing antibodies to the virus. The first antibodies produced are IgM. These usually peak within 1-2 weeks of your first symptoms. As the IgM antibodies are decreasing, IgG antibodies are increasing. IgG antibodies last longer and help protect you upon subsequent exposure. More Info
How does it work:
This antibody test requires a blood specimen shipped overnight to the lab processing it (ELISA/ACT Biotechnologies). Once you place your order, a specimen collection kit will be sent to you. We have convenient mobile blood draw services that will come to your home for the blood draw. See blood draw options. Your kit will come with a prepaid overnight UPS shipping label. (if you adding the antibody test to an LRA test of immune response, no additional blood is needed for the antibody test.)
Your results will be sent to you within 7-10 business days. With your results you will receive a free virus risk reduction protocol to help you become less hospitable to foreign threats like the virus that causes COVID-19.
Important: this test requires a blood draw. Click here to see blood draw options.
Note: Because COVID-19 is so new, we still don’t know much about immunity after contracting and recovering from it. A positive SARS CoV-2 antibody test confirms your exposure and immune response, but does not mean you can’t get reinfected with the virus. Consult with a healthcare professional for further guidance.
