This panel is used when individuals are complaining of fatigue, weakness, insomnia, headaches, irritability, nervousness, sugar cravings, dizzy spells and decreased stamina. In addition, all individuals with chronic disease will have changes/compromises in their adrenal function. Complimentary interpretation included with results.
DHEA and Cortisol x 4 (samples taken at different times of the day for optimum performance)
This assessment is used for both men and women who are having symptoms related to sex hormone deficiencies or excesses (estradiol, P and T) and will also render an adrenal assessment with DHEA and am/pm cortisiol. Women who are experiencing menstrual irregularity, night sweats, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, depression, mental fog and forgetfulness, tearful/moodiness, and tender breasts in addition to any of the above adrenal symptoms would warrant using this profile. Men will complain of decreased libido, decreased erections, decreased stamina, decreased mental sharpness, decreased muscle size, elevated triglycerides and/or high cholesterol. Complimentary interpretation included with results.
Estradiol (E2), Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, Cortisol x 2 (measured 2 times during the day).
Female/Male Saliva Profile I with 3 additional collections throughout the day to provide a complete evaluation of diurnal adrenal function. Eight (8) tests: Female/Male Saliva Profile I (E2, Pg, T, DS, and C1) + noon, evening, and night Cortisol.
Estrogens, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S and cortisol are routinely measured in saliva. Steroid hormones in the bloodstream are mostly (95-99%) bound to carrier proteins, and in this form are unavailable to target tissues. Only the unbound fraction freely diffuses into tissues, including the salivary gland. Hormone levels in saliva therefore represent the quantity of the hormone that is currently available to target tissues and actively exerts specific effects on the body. Research has demonstrated clear correlations between salivary hormone levels and reported symptoms.
This assessment combines a complete adrenal function panel in addition to an assessment of sex hormone levels. It is for compromised individuals who are having the short comprehensive and adrenal function symptoms. It is especially important to assess those mid-day cortisol levels in individuals who are experiencing blood sugar dysregulation, hyperlipidemia, weight gain around the waist, bone loss ,infertility, sensitivity to chemicals and increased joint pain.Complimentary interpretation included with results.
Estradiol (E2), Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, Cortisol x 4 (measured 4 times during the day)
This is a blood spot test for the following thyroid hormones: TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), Free T3 (triiodothyronine), Free T4 (thyroxine), TPO (thyroid peroxidase antibody). This test includes everything you need to collect your blood spot sample at home and send your sample to the lab for processing.
A thyroid profile may be ordered as part of a health checkup or when symptoms suggest hypo- or hyperthyroidism due to a condition affecting the thyroid.
Signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism may include:
Menstrual irregularity in women
Signs and symptoms of hyperthyroidism may include:
Increased heart rate
Tremors in the hands
Puffiness around the eyes, dryness, irritation, or bulging of the eyes
This Elite Hormone Testing Panel is highly recommended by Dr. Russell Jaffe. In this panel, you will test cortisol (x4), DHEA, Estrone, Estradiol, Estriol, Testosterone levels, Progesterone — all of which will be done via a saliva test.
Also tested is TSIT, FT4 and FT3 — each of these will be collected with a blood spot.
